(reviews) A welcoming gathering spot in El Paso with group sites designed for memorable trips with family and friends. A massive high-desert urban wilderness offering over 100 miles of trails and rugged primitive camping in El Paso. Franklin Mountains State Park is one of the largest urban wilderness parks in the nation, encompassing over 24,000 acres of high-desert terrain within the El Paso city limits. The park offers more than 100 miles of multi-use trails for hiking and mountain biking, along with technical rock climbing in the Tom Mays Unit and McKelligon Canyon. Camping is primitive and focused in the Tom Mays Unit, providing a rugged outdoor experience with spectacular views of the Rio Grande valley and surrounding peaks, all while remaining just minutes from urban amenities. Visitors must be self-contained as there is no water or electricity at the campsites. ### Site Types Available RV sites (primitive) Tent sites (walk-in) Group tent sites #### For Your RV ##### Camping Types RV Sites Tent Sites Group Sites #### Rules & Policies Ask Host Pets Ask Host Generators Ask Host Campfires Ask Host Alcohol Starting from $10 / night $ price tier 22 Sites Total campsites (915) 444-9100franklinmountainssp@tpwd.texas.gov Visit Website: https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/franklin-mountains #### Address 2900 Tom Mays Access Rd El Paso, Texas 79911 USA #### GPS Coordinates 31.910522, -106.518182 Copy these coordinates into your GPS device or paste them into a web browser or navigation app for directions. ## Getting Here El Paso, Texas, USA $10 Leaflet: https://leafletjs.com/ © OpenStreetMap: https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright ## Camp Weather El Paso, Texas, USA ## About this listing Unclaimed listing on Campstr This listing has not yet been claimed by the campground owner or operator.
