Kanawha State Forest is a 9,300-acre recreation area located seven miles south of Charleston, West Virginia. It is highly regarded for its diverse wildflower and bird populations, as well as an extensive network of over 60 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. The facility includes 46 campsites, a seasonal swimming pool, nine picnic shelters, and a covered shooting range.
