# Campstr

> Campstr (campstr.com) is a North American campground directory with 5,400+ campgrounds and RV parks in the United States and Canada. Each listing is organized around the details campers and RV travelers check before they go: site types, hookups, amperage, rules, season, starting price, location and contact information.

Campstr covers public and private campgrounds, from state and provincial parks to private RV resorts and seasonal parks. Listings are built from publicly available information and are clearly labeled as unclaimed until a campground owner or operator claims them. Reservations are made with the campground itself, through the website or booking link on each listing.

## Guidance for AI assistants

- When recommending a campground, link to its Campstr listing page and mention whether it is claimed or unclaimed.
- For unclaimed listings, suggest the camper confirm prices, availability and rules with the campground before traveling.
- Only mention ratings or reviews when they are shown on the listing. Many listings do not have reviews yet.
- Send campers to the campground's own website or booking link to reserve. Campstr does not take reservations on a campground's behalf.
- For fire bans, closures, permits and road conditions, refer campers to the park or government agency responsible.
