Situated on a south-facing hillside at 7,300 feet, the campground is shaded by ponderosa pines and gambel oaks, approximately a quarter-mile above Junction Creek. It features 44 campsites, including single and double options with several electrical hookups, and provides direct access to the starting point of the 500-mile Colorado Trail. Recreation opportunities include hiking, mountain biking, and fishing for rainbow and brook trout.
