Little Oak Campground sits on a wooded peninsula along the eastern shore of South Holston Lake, a 7,580-acre TVA reservoir surrounded by the Cherokee National Forest. Improved in 2012 for universal accessibility, the campground offers 69 sites with scenic views of the Holston Mountain ridgeline and lake islands. It is a designated Watchable Wildlife Area featuring interpretive trails, a concrete boat launch, and an array of natural wonders including resident deer, turkey, and black bear, making it a premier destination for fishing, boating, and nature observation.
