Located on the shores of a 144-acre reservoir, the park is a prime destination for water-based recreation including fishing, boating, and seasonal swimming. The campground features 48 sites suitable for both tents and trailers, with a majority offering electrical hookups. The park is renowned for its birdwatching opportunities, particularly during the fall hawk migration, and offers five hiking trails, including proximity to the Allegheny Trail. It is adjacent to the Moncove Lake Wildlife Management Area, which provides additional opportunities for hunting and exploration.
