Big Bay State Park is a 2,350-acre destination on Madeline Island, the largest of Lake Superior's Apostle Islands. The park is renowned for its four miles of rugged shoreline featuring picturesque sandstone bluffs and caves, alongside a 1.5-mile sand swimming beach. The facility includes a family campground with 60 sites (21 with electric hookups and 7 walk-in sites) and an outdoor group camp. Visitors access the park via a 20-minute ferry ride from Bayfield, followed by a short drive to the eastern side of the island.
