Big Shaheen Cabin is a historic log cabin built in 1935 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, located on the eastern shore of Hasselborg Lake within the Kootznoowoo Wilderness on Admiralty Island. This remote wilderness lodging features two bedrooms and a common area equipped with an oil stove for heat. It is a popular destination for fishing, canoeing, and wildlife viewing, situated along the Admiralty Island Canoe Route. The cabin offers a primitive experience with no running water or electricity, requiring guests to bring all necessary supplies, including stove oil.
