A rustic 16' x 20' log cabin on the banks of Starrigavan Creek, offering easy drive-up access near Sitka.

Starrigavan Creek Cabin is a drive-up, high-use log cabin located within the Starrigavan Recreation Area in the Tongass National Forest. Constructed in 2008 using young Sitka spruce logs, this 16' x 20' rustic facility serves as an experiment in log longevity and features a sleeping loft, wood stove, and accessible main level. Situated near the banks of Starrigavan Creek, the site offers access to saltwater and freshwater fishing, hiking trails, and wildlife viewing opportunities in a temperate rainforest setting. The cabin is accessible only by ferry or airplane to Sitka, followed by a short drive.
